Welcome To Kangaatsiaq Domestie Production

For a long time ago, the greenlandic people had always a way to supply themselves with accessories. therefore they make the accessories which is adapted to the greenlandic enviroment. Over 4000 years Greenland had inhabitans. with the accessories they have not influenced the nature.

Kayak, Umiak and dogslegde, were used as transport, and the people lived in freedom of nature. they have adapted the accessories to the water and land.

Now we make these accessories the same way as they make in the old days. In that way they will never go out of the Greenlandic culture.

Symbol:
Qulleq (Lamp)

The fire gives warm, light and cooking, it even uses to make accessories.

From the old days was it very important to have a lamp, but the lamp was limited - from the lamp to soapstone. in over many years the greenlandic people had to have the lamp which is made by a soapstone. One of the most important and respective possessions.

The lamp parts are: Innanniut (turns the lamp on), Iparaq (bog moss), Taqqissuut (Lampstick) and at last seal skin.

The lamps have "tongues" which is called fuel can, they out a frossen blubber to the fuel can, and they tew the blubber and spit in to the lamp.

Really dry ( Iparaq ), moss, is used as burn peat.

the lamps gets sediments, and afterwards they are ready to clean.
